Oxfam Vintage Event

I'm a little late writing this but man this was such a good day! :D

Oxfam Ireland in Galway were having a vintage event where they had vintage clothes on sale for seriously good prices and other events going on. We got to get all dressed up!

I got there early enough to help with the set up and organization. But i didn't have anything vintage to wear! i was very saddened by this. But thankfully the fabulous Dee in Oxfam let me wear one of the dresses which i was planning to buy anyway! Erin showed up too and we got everything set up with the oxfam crowd! The place looked great!

After everything was all set up Myself and Erin went back to her house to get ready for the big event! :D
We both went with the pokadot look! We were the pokadot parade! haha

My dress cost €6
My bag was €5
and i also got a gorgeous shawl jacket thing for €8

I am completely in love with this <3

I was so happy with my purchases!

When we got back to the shop, the place was packed with people! it was such a hot day as well so inside the shop was very hot! but so many people came in lovely vintage clothes which was so nice to see! Everyone was so stylish! :D

There were even swing dancers organized to do a dance out the front!
Which was brilliant

There was lots of food and wine and everyone just seemed to be having a great time!

Also Dee...the organizer of this brilliant event look absolutely fabulous!

After the main events were over me and Erin snuck off to do a mini photo shoot around the corner. we nabbed some records and the sign from the shop window and ran off for awhile!
We got some lovely shots! :D

When we got back to the event then we just had a great time chatting to everyone. I had a great time and got to meet lots of new people too!

To top off the entire evening, at the end of the event they held a raffle! And i won a prize! :D
I was so happy.....I never win anything!

Sunday lunch for 2 in the Harbour Hotel! DELIGHTED!
Erin and I are gonna go some Sunday soon when we're both not busy!
Oxfam sure know how to throw a great party, that's for sure! ;P

I'm off to watch some cartoons!

Aran Islands Shoot

So finally putting up this post about the most recent photo shoot I did in the Aran Islands.

So myself, Rebecca Horgan and Miguel Justino from LJ Foto went to Inis Oirr Island for a beach photo shoot and also to get some pictures in the rusty shipwrecked boat on the island. Miguel drove us out to get the boat which was called “The Happy Hooker.” Classy I know.

This Boat....

Miguel went straight into the seating area on the boat but Rebecca and I decided to stay out on the deck part outside. It started off really nice. Going along the ocean in the boat and then we saw some dolphins, which unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures off. But as soon as we let our guard down….a massive wave hit us and sent us flying across the boat. The waves got pretty rough. Both me and Rebecca got soaked. Perfect right before a photo shoot! XD

Rebecca and I right before the big wave hit us.

When we finally made it inside there was a bit of peace for a little while (apart from the boat rocking side to side) but then someone ended up being seasick into a bucket in the corner….after that it got pretty disgusting. Of course once one person got sick, everyone started getting sick….I won’t go into too much detail about that but I was thankful to be back on dry land when we got to the island.

We made our way to the local pub where we got a nice cup of tea to warm us up and decided on which outfits we were going to use.

Rebecca did my make up out on the beach against the wind and rain.
She did a fantastic job given the circumstances.

We got some pretty nice shots out on the beach. The weather was still pretty bad, it was very misty rain. I was fairly cold by the end of the first shoot.

Here's a couple of shots:

After this we made our way back to the pub so i could get changed again. We took a few more shots out on the beach in the next outfit.

On the island there are people running horse-carriage rides around the islands so we hoped on one of those and made our way to the ship wreck.

The ship wreck was very cool. I enjoyed exploring it as we did the photo shoot. It was completely rusted inside and out.

Here's a few shots from the ship wreck:

Unfortunately, before we could get onto the top deck we had to leave to catch our boat back.
We were picked up by the same man who brought us out on the horse carriage and made our way back.
I was dreading the boat ride....the thought of being on that boat again made me feel sick.
Thankfully the boat back was quite enjoyable and relaxing. Rebecca and I sat outside again but this time the waves were a lot calmer. It was much nicer.

Rebecca and I enjoying the boat ride back

Our lovely photographer Miguel inside the boat.

We got off the boat and Miguel drove us back to Galway City, I was so wrecked from the day that I slept most of the way back... :P

Even though the day started off pretty rough I had a great time and we got some lovely shots from it.
A big thanks to both Miguel and Rebecca for the experience on this shoot.

Also a big thanks to Kembali, Galway for giving us the clothes for the photo shoot.
They are absolute legends.

Thats all for now!
Till the next time! :D

Beach Photo Shoot

After I made a facebook page for the recent modelling I had been doing I was asked by Sweet Memories Photography to do a collaboration photo shoot. I also asked MUA Rebecca Horgan to join us in the collaboration.

Rebecca came over to my house early in the day. She did my make up for the photo shoot and we made our way to the beach. Once we got to the beach and met up with the photographer we got started.

The wind was so strong during the shoot but we managed to get a few good shots.

We did 3 different outfits but right now these are the only ones edited :)

Irish Venue Shoot

After doing a few photo shoots with Erin i decided to get more involved in the modelling industry around Galway. There was an event on in Cloonacauneen Castle in Claregalway called Irish Venue Shoots organized by Miguel Justino. This was a an organized event for photographers, models, Make up Artists and stylists to get together and do several different shoots in one day. It was a chance to meet more people in the industry and work together.

I got a lift to ClareGalway with Rebecca Horgan, a Make Up Artist and Designer and also got to meet Sorcha Styles, a Designer and Milliner from Galway.

When we arrived at the shoot I met a number of different photographers, models and stylists. Rebecca did my make up for my pictures and Sorcha did most of the styling for me also. Throughout the day i worked with different photographers.

I was asked by my friend Erin (MyPaperMacheMind) to do some headshots for her own portfolio and for a friend of hers who was a make up artist.

I arrived at Erin's house and we sat down and picked out a couple of outfits and then her friend Aisling did my make up and hair so the pictures.

We went with a very light look first :

Then we went with a heavier make-up look and hairstyle to give the pictures a more vintage look and feel

I really enjoyed this photo shoot and getting to work with Aisling as well and I was happy with how the pictures came out. This was probably one of my favorite shoots.
