Beauty Benefit

God it has been a long time since I have written a blog. Feels like forever. It has been a very busy time for me with exams and planning my big move which I will talk about in another blog soon.
But for now I wanted to talk about the Benefit range that has taken the make-up scene by storm. I have been using the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation for the last couple of months along with a few other Benefit products and thought it was about time I wrote about them. Plus it’ll help me get back into the swing of things J

My Benefit Set: As you can see it is quite used at this stage :P
I first got a Benefit make-up kit for Christmas from my sister and have to say that I immediately loved it. It came with the hugely popular PORE-fessional which helps reduce the appearance of pores and can be applied throughout the day if you notice any blemishes.
The kit also came with Bene-tint lip and cheek stain solution.
I often use this solution for my lips and sometimes for my cheeks but it really does stand out for me on my lips. It gives a great light and natural glow to my lips without it looking like I’m wearing anything on them. I absolutely love this about it as I am a big fan of the natural look as I think it works best for me.

The mascara is They're Real Mascara which gives my lashes some great length and volume.

The set also comes with a two-shade blush and gorgeous neutral brown shades of eye shadows. This set is absolutely perfect for people looking for a natural look or a glowed finish make-up look

About a month or so ago I also stopped into the Benefit counter in Debenhams in Dublin to try find a nice concealer. I got chatting with one of the lovely staff there and got discussing the types of make-up I use and how it works for my skin. She gave me all sorts of advice on how to pick and wear my make-up and then did a free make-up session for me to try out the products. This was so helpful for me to really decide what I want and I ended up buying both the Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation and Fake Up Concealer.

Since I started using these products I have found my skin has improved and I feel much better about wearing no make-up at all.
The Fake Up Concealer is filled with nutrients and vitamins that moisturize your skin as you wear it. It blends in really nicely with my skin and hides any dark patches.
Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation is a lovely smooth foundation that goes on my skin so nicely. It doesn’t feel like putting a make on my face and throughout the day I barely feel like I’m wearing make-up. I really like to keep a natural look and I really feel that this foundation helps me keep that look.

I absolutely love Benefit make up and definitely would recommend it to anyone but would suggest going in and talking to a specialist on the Benefit counters or into the Benefit shop in Dublin and getting a consultation and a trial to make sure the product works with your skin.

This is a picture of me after applying my Benefit products. Everything I am wearing in the photo is Benefit except for a little bit of Mac bronze.
Let me know what you think of the Benefit range and if there are any other products that are worth a try!

Thanks so much for reading my little come back blog and I hope to be posting much more often now.

Stay Beautiful <3

Doctor Who Specials

Ok... this blog is well overdue since I went to see the Doctor Who 50th Special on the 23rd of November 2013....it just got so late after seeing it so I decided to do a blog about it and the Christmas Special episode all in one...where we said goodbye to the beloved Matt Smith *tears.*
First of all I went to see the 50th Anniversary Special with my two whovian friends Sally and Deirdre! We saw it in the lighthouse cinema in Smithfield, Dublin and all I can say is that this cinema is the coolest cinema I've ever been in! It was so nicely designed and lighted that I didn't even think it was a cinema at first!
We sat in the back row with our 3D glasses at the ready with a couple of Sally's friends and when the lights went down and the screen came on the whole cinema cheered in excitement and anticipation! I was ready to squeel like a little fangirl! :3 Luckily sally's friend Ciaran did that throughout the episode for me! :D

I'm not gonna say much about the episode itself because I don't want to spoil anything but in that one moment when they showed the past doctors and then a quick appearance from Peter Capaldi....the whole cinema cheered and clapped! It was just fantastic! :D Not to mention there was just so many people dressed up in Doctor Who inspired outfits! I just loved every minute of it. Seeing Tennent and Smith working together side by side as the Doctor was the little fangirl inside me's dream! And it came true! <3
There was also a surprise guest ending which just...blew my mind!
The whole experience made me so excited for the Christmas Special while at the same time....dreading it... I was so not ready to say goodbye to Matt Smith...
On Christmas day I didn't get a chance to watch the episode when it was aired and downloaded it impatiently that night after everyone had gone to bed. It took a long time to download as it seems a lot of people had the same idea as me...

Eventually it finished downloading and I got comfy in bed with a cup of tea and began the emotional journey....I have to say I loved every minute of the episode. I dont have a bad word to say about it!
It made me laugh and cry at all the right times and I thought it was an awesome finally for Matt Smith with another surprise cameo appearance at the end really got me....tears flooding D:
The way Capaldi came in was fantastic which made me laugh slightly causing me to choke from my tears seconds before. His final line of the episode....was just brilliant!
I really cant wait to see more from Capaldi! I was nervous at first but I think this episode has put my mind at ease! There hasnt been an official release date for the new season but all i can say is...BRING ON AUTUMN 2014!!!

WHOVIAN FOREVER! <3

Bloggers Meet Up Dublin!

Yesterday (31/11/13) I attended a Dublin Bloggers Meet organized by the lovely BelleFBeauty! It was such a great event and I really enjoyed myself!
When I first arrived to the Dakota Bar I met Filomena out the front and she told me that the venue had changed! I was very surprised but it was just across the street in the Lost Society bar. I made my way across and met Christelle who gave me my goodie bag and explained the terrible stress the two of them had to endure! Because Dakota bar told them they couldn’t have the meet up in there they had to organize somewhere else very last minute as a venue! So all I can say is well done to you for doing a really fantastic job! And a huge thanks to Lost Society Bar for letting all us chatty girls sit around for hours for this event!

I was the first to arrive so I got a chance to take a couple of pictures of the lovely cakes and treats around the room. There was delicious chocolate and vanilla cheesecakes which I probably ate about half off…..seriously they were delicious! :D There was also a bunch of cartons of coconut water and this aloe vera drink…which I am now officially obsessed with, I need to get my hands on more of this.

These cakes.....<3

I had a root through my goodie bag to see what little wonders we got and found a lovely range of products including a little pocket mirror which I have been needed for a long time!
Thank you to Cloud10Beauty for providing these awesome bags! :D
Next to arrive after me was Emma from TheOrdinaryGirlsGuideToMasteringHerMakeup and we had a great time chatting and meeting other as well. Throughout the evening I got to meet a range of beauty and fashion bloggers and made sure to get all their links to blogs which I will post at the end of the blog!

What was in our goodie bags! :D

There were a talk by Giovanna from Cloud10Beauty on their new products and even had a set of their brushes as one of the raffle prizes! :D
Then we had a talk from Aoibhe from TheSecretObsession who talked about her road to getting her blog more popular and just a bit on how to get more recognized online! I thought her talk was great and she was so funny and nice as well! Really enjoyed meeting her!

After another little while of chatting and eating cheesecake they held the raffle which we were all given one free strip for! :D I didn’t get around to buying another strip as I was chatting with people the whole time I was there but they did the draw and I ended up winning! I was so excited because I never win anything! I won a beautiful new set of make-up brushes from Real Techniques! This was just fantastic as I was going to buy a set of brushes soon anyway and now I won them! Super happy about it! :D

So happy with my prize! :D
Cant wait to try them out!
I had a nice cup of coffee while continuing my chats with all the bloggers and before I knew it, it was nearly 8pm! The event was over at 8 but I had to leave a few minutes early to go catch my bus home but I had such a fantastic time and just can’t wait until the next one!
Big well done to Filomena from BelleFBeauty for organizing this event! And fair play to how you handled the venue situation! :D

Had a fantastic time <3
